This library contains 358 Tam Tam and Gong samples from my Alchemy Bank Alchemistry Metallurgy, Scattered Entity Vol. 1 for MachFive and 3 new samples. A Wuhan Tam Tam (45 cm in diametre) and two different sized Thai Gongs were multisampled in 48 Khz/24 Bit using 3 Neumann Microphones (L- C-R), a U87 for the centre and a stereo set of KM-184 for the sides. The Instruments were beaten with various mallets, scraped with various tools and rubbed with rubberballs. Up to 6 velocity layers and 10x round robin variations were sampled. There is also an instrument with multisampled waterphone gongs, beating the bottom of the instrument with soft gong beaters.

Muted Thai Gongs Split 6Vel RR8
Two muted Thai Gongs (lying on a thick cloth while sampling), multisampled at 6 velocity layers and 8X round robin, original pitches at A#2 and B3, split point at E3/F3, extended to both sides.

Controls:
The Modwheel adds very fast pitch modulation, reminding of ring modulation effects
The Pitchbender is set to +/- 1 octave

3 processed Gongloops with synced granular delays (crusherX) split across the keyboard syncing to the host tempo using Kontakt's beat slicer in Beatmachine mode.

Controls:
The Modwheel adds temposynced random pitch modulation.
The Pitchbender is set to +/- 1 octave Velocity is assined to the Lowpass Filter Cutoff. This is only audible when the overall Cutoff is turned downwards (Knob 1)

The small rubber ball samples are mapped on the white keys from C3 - G4 - one of the samples is also mapped from C5 - C8 (root note A#5 so it plays in tune)

Turning Thai Gongs
Eight Thai Gongs multisampled at 2 velocity layers and 5x round robin, lowest gong at A#2, highest gong at D4 - extended to both directions, highest note: C5. After the attack each gong was moved between the three microphones for subtle leslie effects.

Waterphone Gongs 3Vel RR5
Hitting the bottom of the Waterphone with a soft gongbeater, sampled at 3 velocity layers and 5x round robin, finetuned to the root note G#2. Also try very low notes, reminding of a huge Tamtam.

Controls:
The Modwheel adds rectangle-shaped pitch modulation, a unipolar modulator changes modulation speed with each new attck, a bipolar random modulator alters pulsewidth of the LFO shape. The Pitchbender is set to +/- 1 octave.
